Not too sure about the width of it though. Its 5" and im used to 4n half, It just seems dead wide in my hand. I am still talikin about trowels by the way ::)

refinas are 4 and a half ;)

Im an old fekker and kinda stuck in me ways, darn sarf no one has ever
heard of refina and we think it might be a trap so u lot capture us top spreads
when we go oop north to buy a re branded B+Q trowel ;)

Arent refina's the ones with a black plastic handle? Their the pits mate. I took the permashape back, the one I had had been machined to fook and had loads of lines in it. Left loads of marks on the wall when I tried to final trowel. Thought sod that for a game of soldiers, sanding it down, took it back and got a normal marshaltown 14x4 3/4. Cheaper by £12 as well.

best trowel ever was a make called diston fom canada i think worked with a guy back in the day had one

the bloke i work with told me about them. came in a wooden box he reckons?!

A few months ago i had a load of fire boards fall in the van onto my polishing trowel,it was fuc k ed.
so i wnet out and bought a tyzack ready to go trowel, i gave it a few licks over the oil stone along each edge and round the corners a little more than they were set and and it trowel up a treat.
the permashape i think are a bit to rigid,i like a lot of flex in my trowel for the final trowel atleast.

kirk dingle said he uses a tyzack but has to buy a new one every couple of years?!

Gave the new marshaltown the once over with the diamond stone and was good to go. Polished up the walls sound enough, just gonna work on it for a bit and keep it as an emergency back up.

Use it on your backing coats to help break it in and then when needed it'll be ready for use, I bought a Tyzack premier last year with that in mind but it's that good to use I've been using it as my main trowel since, it's sort of replaced a MT permashape well broken in, when I get it out it feels huge in width! :D
