Thanks, one of the problems we had with the quoins not being sat out far enough, is that we were not finishing to the flat edge of them, but the bevelled part.

This meant that the mono, where it met the stone, was thin and susceptible to breaking with the scraper.

Anyone know how to clean that stain on the lintel?

Yeah cheers it worked well. That 550mm drop tape from one stop fitted nice.
