BG Bags tearing poor quality :(?

What the hell is going on with BG bags multi, bonding all of them are tearing as soon as I pick them up, its like the outer layer is made out of newspaper. Is it just me or have the bags changed over the last couple of months?
 
Same here mate, the bags on the job to day looked that bad i asked the builder how long hed had them for, thinking theyd been in his lock up, said he bought them tuesday last week. Finish and tough coat all split with just the plastic showing through.
 
defo think the bags of finish were more durable before they started with the plastic inner liner of the bags
 
had exactly the same mate lab was getting right fooked off with it the other day everytime he tried to pour a bad the paper just ripped and more went in than he wanted or splashed the water out, orrr trying to take the top off and 3/4s of the outer layer comes off with the top. every bag in wickes is split and has been for a while now, but its proberly because of the extra cost of the plastic liner as long as they dnt leak everywhere im happy
 
the bags have a spot of glue in the middle to keep them in position on the pallet in transport. give the bag a twist as you pick it up and you will not break the paper
 
Look stop ******* moaning, if you don't like their bags just buy someone elses gear.














Oh that's right we don't have any real choice so they're never going to listen to us are they.

Knauf bags are quite nice and MP Finish is meant to be 12p per meter less then BG
 
im not that botherd the way i see it is old bags if outer got ripped then usually the inner layer would break aswell and multi went everywhere
new bags outer layer might be thinner but theres still the plastic and inner layer to go havent had a new bag leak on me yet that i can remember
 
well this fabulous new lining isnt all that as i had a pallet delivered the other day and every single bag was lumpy. they ended up replacing the pallet
 
Started doing it about a year ago, gafffa at my merchants said he spoke to the rep about it because people were complaining and they said its for health and safety in transit
 
same up here in carlisle freed, went to wickes this morning and out of 10 bags the outer layer was torn on 8 of them,the manager says he is getting a lot of complaints,hopefully bg will do something.
 
ahh shite so the rumors are true i am a ****after all or are you saying im a star but you was to embarrassed to write that??
 
just spoken to my contact at BG and he said they do it for health and safety reasons, to stop bags sliding in transit, so its something that willbe staying I guess:RpS_mad:
 
I think the burst bags keep bnq goin cause anytime I'm in there they have loads of loose plaster scooped up into plastic bags and sold of 50p cheaper to any arse who wants to buy them!!
