I thought what's app is encrypted , Facebook can't read itRight now I don't do WhatsApp as I don't like Facebook looking over everybody's shoulder and warping what we see and hear. I might be almost literally forced to change and sign up now, due to personal stuff, but until I do,.
Please explain why exactly everybody has got their panties in a wad about disposal of plasterboard ? What is the issue about disposal and does it apply to bagged stuff aswell. I get about using masks and not breathing it in etc when we are using it but surely that's not it for skipping it?

If you click off onto a link, or buy something via a link it officially becomes Facebook data, not WhatsApp. Incl all your details as if it was a FB page or vendor. Then...you'll see targetted material via WhatsApp, be that sales or political etc.I thought what's app is encrypted , Facebook can't read it
The regulation applies to gypsum in general so powder or waste is the same. When gypsum is buried with general waste it creates a gas, don’t ask I’m a plasterer not a scientist. All gypsum which goes to landfill goes in a separate area to stop the formation of the gas.Right now I don't do WhatsApp as I don't like Facebook looking over everybody's shoulder and warping what we see and hear. Thank you. With that info I'm able to find the techie bit, which also maybe explains why some BG boards and plasters have come in for lots of stick about quality;The regulation applies to gypsum in general so powder or waste is the same. No idea on the actual figures tbh but the only recycled materials goes in the boards. The change in plaster is due to it being a natural product. With regards to the boards feeling different and cutting differently is due to the core material being more natural gypsum than the desulphurised gypsum which was a waste product from the coal fired power stations. The move away from DSG is purely due to the fact that coal power stations are being closed down.Thank you. With that info I'm able to find the techie bit, which also maybe explains why some BG boards and plasters have come in for lots of stick about quality;
Environment Agency; "the relationship between the amount of sulphate waste and the production of hydrogen sulphide gas is complex. We cannot therefore set an acceptable limit within which gypsum can be deposited with biodegradable waste without creating this gas.”
Fair enough - HS is nasty stuff, likes to attach to red blood cells instead of oxygen (same as carbon monoxide) if breathed in.
Environment Agency again; "we want to encourage the reuse and recycling of more gypsum"
"PAS 109:2008 The standard outlines specifications for the production of recycled gypsum from waste plasterboard and provides guidance for when the waste material is reprocessed into quality gypsum. "
BG as the biggest UK supplier must be under a lot of pressure to be seen to recyle. But depite best efforts - Crap input, Quality output?
So how much gypsum and board does BG recycle into new product? And is this why the quality and usability has been so criticised?
Funny u should bring this is up we suffer in Silverdale and it been national news over the last few months at our local land fillThe regulation applies to gypsum in general so powder or waste is the same. Gary what type of gypsum ar Lafarge, Siniat and the Turkish lot putting in their boards, as they are all better quality overall. Global shortage of metalConfirms info from other sources that coated products such as Galvanised metal also in short supply. Plastic beads here we come, wonder what we're going to do for stud partitions - Self-finished SIPS panels I expect., no plaster, tape and scrape.
