Just an opened bag of bonding and I suppose that's the clue. Think the bag must have got a bit damp. Was only to fill a chase.

So you mixed up then logged in here posting columbo pics then went back and was gone in lol

I throw a packet in a big tub of skim and another in the second coat mix in winter. Makes it set abit more normal. Whatever you do don’t throw it in with the powder. Let it soak in the water for a bit.

Dirty water from wash buckets is the best for kicking bonding off for patching in my opinion. But isn't a set time.. all depends. The bonding 60 is great as have plenty of time to cover ceiling or whatever and can time it perfectly.

Yep true. Have tried cement, rapid set cement etc and all work. The half time is just a bit more consistent, but all depends on what you're trying to achieve.

Did for me, but it wasnt a proper experiment tbf, so could have been other variables. Have a bit of bonding to do tomorrow, so have kept some dirty water after skimming ceiling today.

Yep, keep open minded and experiment. Everyone has a few little tricks they use, but as Mr L says, you don't want it flash setting on a ceiling etc

Just some in the bucket i use to clean my mixer with. Have one chase to bond out and a bit of unevenness at the bottom of a wall to true up before I skim them. Then a bit of concreting to do and hopefully I won't need to go in Friday!

I dont carry around dirty water either, have enough shite in my van as it is !
