poss just down to a bit of luck mate
possibly but as they say you make your own luck, ive always been a very good sourcer of work not afraid to get on phone stop at jobs and do what ever it takes to get work,i admit that i have been how shall i say disapointed at both quality and lack of work ethics that are usually available to you to hire normally the good ones dont need to work for you they have there own work.i deffo could nt risk the money it takes to run a company and give some of these herberts the chance to skint me quickly,i know not everyone is bad but you just have to read most of richard browns posts to see how frustrating getting good help is no matter how good you are to them.for me the time has come 30 long years its been good ive travelled the world worked with good lads and own my own home but in all truth its a young mans game and as they say you have to know when to hold and know when to fold

oh boy went up to the house ive had an offer on with my builder buddy to give it a good once over and brilliant house is in top notch condition, saw the neighbours went to talk to them and it turns out its a trust home with special needs people living in it needing 24 hr care, its sent me doolalee coz morally i want to be a decent person esp for my kids but do i want to live next to this situation grrrr

I take it their next door not the house your hoping to get. Yeh I can see why evicting special needs kids onto the street would put you in a bad light ;D Youll hear them all the time through the walls.

i'd rather live next to special needs kids than a bunch of cnuts who play drum'n'bass till 3am every saturday and sunday

if you feel this way now i recon you will feel even worse if you move in and whats the chances of you wanting to buy the house right next door to kebab hey? its uncanny man you couldnt make it up ;)

there adults but because im so ignorant on this subject ive always been embaressed that i won the lottery of life and these poor souls got the raw deal(or did they?) i just dont know enuff or even any to form an oppinion of course i have to think of selling on as the house needs a good 20 grand spent on it i do feel rather embarresed that im not the sort of person who can show complete passion instead of thinking just about me but thats the way it is and your right they probably are decent neighbours comparede to rowdy teenagers oh god

You need to wrestle with your concience but your buyin a house for a lot of money and if you feel this way now what will you feel like once you move in also you might not get the chance to meet your neighbours in the next house you choose and they might be drum and base playin till 4 in the morning wankers, god works in mysterious ways.

its fear of the unknown mate, years back i used to do toy runs etc with the local m.a.g. to a special needs kids home, and it is weird to see em at first, but they're just people, if they were a danger they wouldn't be in a community setting, don't let it put you off if its a nice house.

we`ve decided not for us gutted but what can u do morally im disapointed with myself just wish the estate agent had let us know would nt of viewed the seller is angry with e.a because it was a big thing during negotiation about price

i think a lot of the problem with the money being poor these days is that people are prepared to work for peanuts. i no it will never happen, but people should be able to stand there and say no, its worth more. there is a 2 and 1 gang who are down the road from me in luton, and they charge £280 a day for all 3 of them. why they are prepared to do it i have no idea, but u just cant compete with that.

and i do believe the only way to make decent money, and to be able to do the jobs that u can make money on is to have guys working for u, unless as said before u specialise in say fibourous or marble plastering etc.. and i have to agree with earlier posts, from my experience the chances of getting knocked and having a reputation ruined because of other people is too high. there isnt enough money in the trade to be able to pay a decent spread a decent wage and still make a drink on them. i think possibly partnerships are the way to go now. but that in itself has a lot of problems.

as an example, i went through my books the other day as the missus is moving out etc, to decide wether i can afford to stay where i am. the difference in what i was earning a yr or 2 back with a couple of guys on, who happened to be quite good, i am now approx £1500 a month worse off now working mosty on my own or with a lab. another reason for me wanting to go away for a while. too much effort for not enough reward. add to that the chance of a double dip recession which is on the cards.....
