Carl the

I sometime think carnt wait to retire but it hits me I.m planning me death more lol.

Though j said if I get left any money I.m gonna work out what I would need each year. Then every say 20 grand i have i.ll retire a year early.
My private pension kicks in when I.m 65. So i can retire bout same time as wife really as she has a private and state pension
sure I've said this before to ye, can't imagine doing this job in me 60's, took decision about 20 years ago to come out of the norm found a niche market and started specializing in retro-fit soundproofing in domestics fitting it properly so it was effective, best decision I made in my career... earnt some serious money gotta work smarter not harder in this trade mate get out sooner if ye can

Enjoy it mate. I.d love to retire at 55 . Then again I would of loved to have retired at 25
what age are ye now?
make that change in ye career if you can mate and mebbe ye can hang hawk n trowel up bit sooner
I'm convinced if I hadn't made that change I'd be in it few more years...I owe all the thanks to me younger brother weirdly enough when he bought his first house (new barrett build) back in late 90's and amongst all the other problems with it one was sound from neighbours
anyway he asked me if anything could be done about it I said yes reckon could sort it out but I didn't really know much about it to be honest not really had any call for it in previous 15 years of career so researched and looked into it and ended up soundproofing all party walls in his house lost a bit of room on room sizes but made hell of a difference and after I did it I though I could be onto something here so did some marketting and the rest as they say is history....tried a few systems in the early years but eventually found one that was imo the most effective system and been doing that same system for at least 15 years mostly in newer properties (no surprise there) but also older as well.
was hard graft as ye know mate those sound boards aren't light but the rewards were far greater than re-skimming ye bog standard mrs jones lounge.
