Certified Plasterer Scheme - Q&A

The assessor came out while I was at my mom and dads, he wasn't impressed that my mom wasn't wearing a safety mask while scraping the artex ceiling while we ate our fry up! :nocausagracia:

Serious question, at 49 is metre eating starting to feck you up or are you still going fine, I know you got the psoriasis arthritis but do you think the site bashing makes it worse or no difference?
 
No piss take by the way, starting to get the arthritis in my ankles I think and wondering if the graft will keep me supple or make me worse
 
I've said it before, this scheme falls at the first hurdle because joe public have not got a clue who British gypsum are. And let's have it right well over 12 months in they still cannot get unifinish mainstream ie in wickes and b&q, they and theplasterman can give it all the flannel but facts are facts.

Not sure why the dislike, me and gibbo both got psoriasis which gives you a specific type of arthritis, was why I asked the question of him specifically as I think its in store for me too

i am fine mate i take humira for both my psoriasis is gone but not working for the arthritis gonna get me to top up with methotrexate

Sound mate, bit of a personal question so sorry about that but other than my mum your the only person I know who has it, must stay maneagble if your still bashing the metres out at near 50

I did 6 bags the day I did the room and ceiling in a day, felt like I was dying the next day....big metres aint for me
 
It would be very good if it was punishing enough to set a bench mark for good plasterers, if it were anything else it's just an opportunity for domestic lads to show off infront of customers and hope they take the bait, the downside would be it could mean upto half a dozen visits to see the same person which would more than likely make the cost out of the question
Any large building contractors would just look at the floor if you start talking about it there more interested in making money and chipping people anyway!
Unless it's a very thorough test only obtainable by the very best tradesman it's all been done im afraid and would need some sort of marketing because what's the point in having a qualification if no one knows about it
The trade does need something like this but not something that gets handed out to every Tom dick and Harry who can skim a wall who knows it could be the next best thing if done properly but if not don't waste you're money
