The customer cant tell the plasterer a 'tune' as the plasterer knows how to plaster the customer doesn't? Its not up to standard practice in the uk your job thats pritty much end of ..... All depends on the hands you have on the job , if they are good at what they do it will look decent , if there not then it will look poor .

Not at all mate, just this person has asked advice and has a massive attitude problem, not surprised their not happy about the work, no decent tradesman would put up with them..... people like this, annoy everyone and end up having to use tradesmen that are desperate for the work.... ie... they wouldnt be happy if the worlds best spread had done the job...
