In the domestic sector most customers just want a cheap job.offering a credit card option will put them off as they all want to pay cash to get the cost down.

true to an extent. but if you've got someone refurbing a whole house, getting an extension done, getting a damp course done, and they've got other trades to pay as well, it offers them deferred payment. i did a job a couple of weeks ago where they wanted to pay by credit card because they were getting the whole house carpeted all the same and couldn't afford both at the same time. it's an extra and covenient payment option for the sake of a fifty quid terminal. works for me. and i was skeptical.

I thonk there r a good idea. If people buy a mcdonalds on a credit card they will certainly use it for $500 worth of tiling or plastering. Just working out the best one for me to buy

Hi Guys,

I can really recommend the PayPal one.

We purchased one when we did the tool fair in Manchester.

It's so easy to use, you just need an App for the iPhone or iPad - the way it works is through Internet or 3G connection.

They charge 2.75% of the transaction. Put the money straight into your PayPal account, then you can easily transfer it over to your Bank Account.

It can automatically send receipts of payment to the customer via Text Message or Email.

Really is a great big of kit. I think they are on a stand pretty close to us again at the show in Cov, you should be able to pick one up for about £60 there.

i got the paypal one first but it didnt work with my phone, or quite a few others by the sound of it. ended up getting the worldpay zinc, 50 plus vat. glad i did. its by far the fastest for getting money into your account. some of them take ten days plus for the funds to clear. i took a payment on monday night after five and it was in my bank account yesterday. plus you can take remote payment over the phone with it, personalise your invoices, receipts, etc.

Is there a monthly charge for any of them? Dont mind the initial outlay or the transaction fee, jist dont want any monthly charges

the worldpay zinc is the one i have. its great. no glitches and money is in your bank account fast. the paypal one seemed promising but it does not work on a lot of phones. but it would be fast payment as well. dont trust paypal though and wouldnt surprise me if they tried to corner the market and then hike the percentage on payments. bastards. payeleven and most of theothers take an age to give you your money. check the smallprint.
