Cleaning gypsum dust off my floorboards?

I had some cowboy plasterers come and skim my room and long story short, my floorboards are caked with plaster dust. We've thought about hiring a floor/edging sander to restore them.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Just give the floor a good soak with warm water, it should clean off then .

Mate they are f**ked did you go for cheapest quote? Plaster stains untreated wood permanently. Were the floorboards stained? Sounds full rip out job.

Whenever I see floorboards full protection with film and then secondary protection with ply.

But you are looking at a hefty bill @ £50 per hour.

Hope sanding goes ok. Will need sanding and then a few coats of varnish. Watch the skirting boards.
