It all matters lol well it doesn't if you don't get paidHi all, got some small cupboards to skim and thought it might be a good opportunity to practise using corner trowel. Usually do opposites but thought on this it doesn't matter quite as much if I don't get it quite perfect. Just skimming onto board etc. Cheers guys.

I dont use a corner trowel till the second coat has firmed up and I do two passes on each corner... the first pass one blade on the wall the next pass with the other blade on the other wall... also a nip of gear on the tip helps
I do it when the corner is firming up nice
As above. I also give it a swipe last thing.
Should ave locked u inTwitching out corners that is
My method is to lay on the first coat nicely, and when it has pulled in a good bit, run my corner trowel, any lines left by the wings will be covered with the next coat. After 2nd coat has been flattened nicely and pulled in I run them again, and then maybe once more before final trowel (often I don't though).
If it's a hobbly old reskim, I sometimes sponge the internals before using the twitch.
No worries mate, my pleasure.Cheers Dropsalot...appreciated mate
Never twitch too soon else you can push a horrible little dip in the corner, only use mine on second pass . If set has picked up a bit put a bit of fat on the tip of your twitcher before running down. I prefer the wings bent in a touch . Finishing a wet angle is like making love to a woman; use your tool too soon and you can spoil the finish and have to use your finger to tidy up. [emoji106]
I hate corner trowels but I think I don't know how to use them. Literally just do corners by using trowel both ways on first couple passes then finish by pulling trowel away from corner (without knuckles in plaster), when finishing up run my taping spatula either side to sharpen corners followed by a brush. Perfection ooohhhh and not a corner trowel in sight
See...I'm helping you out too mate with with my post cheers Natwasere
Cheers GibboTwitch on every coat and trowel you won't go wrong at the end of the day it's a trowel
I alter my grip sometimes too mateI Dont use them I can do very neat and tidy internals without. I alter how I grip the trowel so I don't leave knuckle marks everywhere
I lose mine from time to time but on the mendI alter my grip sometimes too mate

Jesus Phil get your tools cleaned ffs
Added a photo of my twitch - wings trimmed - lessens the digging in as mentioned - MT page had a lot of feedback on the twitcher & how we have adapted them , they where asking for testers of a new corner tool, so I am assuming they may of designed one with the wings trimmed , time will tell -
