Cornice asbestos?

Hi... im trying to find out if asbestos was ever used in cornicing? Has anybody here ever come into contact with asbestos used in this way? Thanks

Welcome to the forum and in answer to your question I have never come across it in Cornice nor have i heard of it but, that don't mean it has never been used.

Oh how old is your house? and, how old do you think the Cornice is ? if you are concerned google for labs that carry out tests for asbestos and send them a sample.

The house is 100 years old... but I have no idea how old the cornice is..

Another asbestos query ! Years ago you wouldof knocked it down no questions asked ! Just knock it down get paid and move on ! Or try an office job
