I've been in this game 26 years now and I know a good few lads on here a lot longer than me! I must hold my hand up that I'm still learning now! I don't know it all! New stuff being developed all the time (eg s*p*r*lex trowels, spats, plazzis, machines etc)
I'm more the old school type but have taken on board a lot of advice from the lads on here regard new tools and techniques and must say its almost like learning it all over again? Mp finish plus other new materials etc its what keeps me loving my job :RpS_thumbup:
This forum helps us all, beginners and skilled plus old badger wrapped in a curtain like me :RpS_laugh:

I'm back on a learning curve at the moment. This week has comprised of spraying Hardwall with a G5 in morning and then skimming over in afternoon then setting up for next day. All new to me but I prefer it to floating and setting with s&c.
Always learning!

I'm on a learning curve as well, got a tyrolean job to do and the closest person I can find that knows how to do it is beddy lol

I've just completed a weeks course in plastering so I now class myself as a spread:RpS_thumbsup:

Forgot about Ben Nevis @scottie5 ....... Well I hope he's in when we visit and got a well stocked beer fridge !!! :RpS_thumbsup:

I think its more a case of being able to get out the van and not being fazed or surprise by anything, which may be waiting for you on site, and that really only comes with experience (and a few balls ups along the way).
If you have the skill sets to overcome most things with little or no drama then your somewhere near.

bang on the money there pal!!!:RpS_thumbup:
