I'm still learning after all these years ............... does that make me old ?:RpS_laugh::RpS_lol:

Ryan i don't think your getting it mate, theres more than one thread on this forum where you've gobbed off and called someone a novice / chancer or a rookie, at the minute mate you are just that, Some of the people you've slated have probably been doing it longer than you.

Andy put some valid points across earlier try and take some of it on board, else you may find that the people that have been kind enough to help you to date will cease to do so, i certainly would.

Nope as I work while I learn.

I'm using The Plasterers Forum Mobile App

Exactly. You learn as you go along mate, you always will. The thing is you answer some things on this forum as if you have been in this game decades. Not every method we use is textbook but can and do work because we try methods out and adapt things to the way we work and the conditions/regions we work in. Just because it is not written in stone does not mean its wrong ok.

Ok I leave the forum and come back when I have 25 years working experience? I think this forum have no place for students or new into plastering ? :(

Ryan the sympathy vote wont get you anywhere mate, this forum is ideal for students and new plasterers as you know, you've had loads of help and good advice from kind experienced people, its the fact that your trying to come across as an old sweat often belittling others in the process.

No that's not the case Ryan. Just don't jump on people saying things are bad practice etc on things that you have probably not even done in the real world. That is you have only done 2 yrs plastering and read a lot of books!

When I was 7/8 yrs old my dad used to bring me to work with him on a Saturday, , I loved it cos we would go to the cafe at 10 and have sausage sandwiches. By 12 I was knocking up on sats and school holidays. At 15 I was getting £18 a day labouring/rubbing up/ sponging lol in 1981.
went to Uni at 18 but was bored with that so went back plastering.
Ryan, after 40 years, I learn something new almost daily, either on here or working with another spread. That's what the lads are telling you

You know what your problem is @essexandy, you don't just say what's on your mind, stop beating round the bush mate and tell us what you think. :RpS_laugh:

@Wezly I know mate I'm just too reserved. I often wonder if that pillock down at Knauf is still in therapy, or a job for that matter.

That was funny, thought I might have to hold your coat. If he is still there lets hope he has been getting some practice in.
