One thing though oasis...ya know how you come on here asking for advice on pricing jobs mate.
What you gonna do for pricing painting jobs up????? theres a lot more to painting than you may think mate.Theres a lot more to consider than plastering at times.Although the money is just as lucrative
paper hanging £25 a roll lining paper £20 a roll preparation and painting £20 an hour is average price round here but you gotta be good and have good image.

not ina rush but just ganna make a start on it.. got be positive i just don't like sitin around finking of gr8 ideas i like to get up and do them

Go for it Oasis my dad was a painter and decorator so that was my first job at 15 and hated it but learnt how to do it if your skimming why not do the deco thats what i do now and ile tell you that pushing a roller or brush about is far easier than pushing sand and cement about.

yea multi trades good wise to specialise in a couple of things though..having a good knowledge of all trades would be ideal especially if u wanna sub if you can be competitive with ure pricing and get quality subbies in happy days.
Wouldn't bother getting a second van though m8 you sure u'll be able to keep some1 in work daily and cover cost of van, admin etc for another person? u'll be stuck in the office m8 and out trying to win work...wont have tim e to work for yourself...i'd rather plough the money into business expand services and sub work.
