Tony, read the link... No Bullshit all FACTS from CSCS & CITB. People dont have to use Geason, i posted it to make people aware of the latest update from CSCS yesterday, people can use who they want. POINT IS - the cards are being investigated.!!!

I didn't think of that,it makes sense when you think some of the big machine or eight wheel dumper drivers are on upwards of 30/40 quid an hour.
 
You need an nvq level 1 to get the green card now and it is only a labourers card. Cscs website now states no nvq no card at all except a visitors card.
 
Yes - Its called General Construction site Operative NVQ Level 1 or 2.

The Construction Site Operative (general construction) NVQ Level 1 CSCS card is currently available to workers who conduct basic tasks on site, for example labourers.

As your aware From 1 July 2014, the requirements for the green card will change depending on the type of work you conduct.

If you work in a labouring occupation then you will need to:

Pass the NVQ Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification; and
Have passed the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Test within the last 2 years
This card is valid for five years.

If you DO NOT work in a labouring occupation after 1 July 2014, then you must complete the relevant NVQ to be issued the correct card for you since the changes.

They're also being used as part of the wider identity fraud. Using a stolen or cloned NI number you can get a card, that allows you to 'work' even if you don't actually go to the site, which allows you to rent a house or flat. Having an address and an income allows you access to credit, and so it expands.

From there you can move on to ordering goods which you don't pay for and then sell on, banks and credit cards. For the more serious criminals it allows you to create multiple identities which can then be sold on to cover all sorts of unpleasantness.

It is, because I'm not going to pay some f**k**g dick to come out and tell me I can do the job I've been doing since they were still pissing their pants, and pay hundreds for the privilege.
It's 'You'd know' as well. Didn't you do English at school?
 
Well your going to have to give in at some point as No NVQ means No CSCS card and in the long run that means NO Work. You also may not have to pay for it as you may be covered for funding depending on where you live ?

You seem to think that everyone works for larger contractors, with H&S Nazis who insist on all this b*ll***s. Well I don't. I work for a few general builders, architects, and private self builders. I won't be needing an NVQ anytime soon, and wouldn't get it free anyway.

It is not an NVQ level 1 for the green card it is a one day health and safety a wareness course that you do it is definatly not an NVQ

So you are trying to tell me that when a self build customer phones me up to work on their house, they aren't going to employ me because I haven't got a f**k**g CSCS card? Domestic customers won't even know what the f**k a CSCS card is. Dream the f**k on. And you'd be the last f**k**g company I'd deal with if I were ever to decide to get one. f**k**g salesman, that's all you are.
