I have a Gold card coz i went to college for 4 years and learnt my chosen trade dont hate, I worked for a s**t wage in all that time and had the foresight to know that getting qualified would be beneficial, i had plenty of friends who just worked for there dads on a good wage and are now having similar problems to you so your not the only one even though it feels like that. lol i havent got time for 2 forums It ends in a row coz for some reason some people dont get it (no pun intended). There is a section on the learners part but that cant answer every question, so its gonna keep getting brought up. Deleting it is only helping the lads who bury their heads in the sand and the lads who think it will go away. Lets just say everyone had the same opinion on it That its not fair and i dont like it what would happen? I am only talking facts not gossip.

My opinion, I have a cscs card and I got it for nothing... yes I had a assessor come out and yes it was quite funny and pretty easy but then he also said a lot of spreads dont get through the NVQ... funny really!

Do we need it? I dont think its a problem as it is to keep people safe on site... its just a site health and safety card and ensures people are qualified enough to do teh job safe!

I dont think it should be judged as to whether your better qualified or not, I have been on the tools a lot less than a lot of spreads but do a better job... some have qualifications some dont.

Thats my opinion I also hate site work but i still have the card!
