How many M2 on an avarage can be expected from an experienced plasterer? Whats a resonable day rate for 8 hrs?

Thanks
We try not to talk rates on here as causes arguing etc as for how many m2?? What does it matter so long as the work is done correctly! ?? You will always get a King Dick who spreads more than anybody else etc!! If your after a spread to do work for you? Ask his previous customers/ builders as to how good he or she is??

For £125 id be happy him averaging 30m2 done to an acceptable standard.that's £4 pm2.if it's fiddly bits or awkward stuff then less but even relatively new plasterers could manage 30 a day on board.

I told imago when I do work for him it's 2 bags a day max for a decent spread & told him its basic £200 day day rate for that. :inocente:
Now he's gonna read this & know I was bullshitting him ffs cheers:muyenojado:
Wonder how many other builders I know are reading this :reloco:

@imago will never know @Nisus your secret is safe :-)

This is turning out to be a very interesting thread!

@Nisus I think we need to renegotiate our terms. For starters it seems that plasterers can arrive before 10:00 in the morning and don't need a brew while the bags equalise to atmospheric temperature. o_O

Thanks again for all the response. I believe in a "fair wage for a fair days work." To summarise , would say 2 bags a day (20m2 ish) for £150 be fair.

Without sounding like a right p****!

2 bags a day is shocking... There's got to be a reason why he's only spreading that much!

Don't start rumours like this....starting before 10 am and not even a cup tea in sight, what ever next, working on a Friday, doing 3 hits a day :endesacuerdo:

Can u throw some pics on so we can see wat he's doing!? Poor fella bet he turned up for graft this morning thinking ahhh nice steady bag day 2day then customer shows him all these threads from his fellow men dobbing him in..

So , established that he is taking the p### , so just to answer my original question - how many m2 should an experienced plasterer be able to cover in an 8 hour period.
