Just been to look at a job, stone built house with a damp wall. The outside has been treated, will Limelite and skim to internal wall be ok ,only about 8m2 to do

Don't forget some anti sulphate on it also.

If the ingress has been dealt with then crack on, what I usually do is scratch coat it with a SBR modified render, then the next day use the renderlite/limelite to float it out, then skim.

We all have our own ways of doing things, but I do like to get the SBR coat on to act as a barrier.

Well personally I am old school and have always seen a skin of SBR render as the best way of sealing the stone work, I see limelite/renderlite as a faster way of dubbing the wall out level ready for skim.

Maybe I am just being a little OTT but I like to do a job and never go back, most of the property I work on is stone built and we have to put on about 3 inches of render before we skim.

Working on brick houses must be a breeze lol
