I think rising damp has become a generic term for all damp. The firm I work for get regular calls asking for rising damp surveys upstairs in bedrooms etc because they have black mould.

I've now just put the cost of my free damp surveys up quite considerablyNot sure how reliable these surveys are but these are the industry's big boys. None of them rated well at all. A bit old now but you can bet there no better.
