that is we use to carry on with Sirapite plaster if it was new stock it would set very quickly.

we had a cut down 50 gallon oil drum which we would pour the powder into for the next days use. you could control the set with adding an amount of board finish and lime. British gypsum wanted to get into the lime sales so they produced multi finish. the first multi finish they produced was so r******d you could only have 1 hit per day !

Didn't have that when Multi was first released Malc. We were still doing three moves a day.

We used to open some bags up if they came off the lorry hot. Didn't happen often with Sirapite, cement was a b*****d and could burn the skin off your shoulder. Bear in mind that nothing was lifted off on pallets, everything was handballed off. Plaster, cement, bricks and tiles, the f**k**g lot.
 
Yes John if you open the bags in a room for next day you’ll get a slightly longer set time I forgot what is released but it is

I've usually got a bag open from the day before, maybe 3/4 or 1/2 and never noticed a difference.
