And this is why I say you shouldn't need to join any wall, you just except than you won't get a tea break and do what needs doing to get the wall done without a join. I've done rolling sets in the past that have lasted almost all day and only managed to snatch a few quick cups of tea, it's all part of being a spread.

he said hes sending it to me instead mate, i reckon you dont need a picture mate. bit of chrome pipe and make it look like a pointing iron but in reverse. and an angle at the top.

Steve that would make a basic one you're right. Some of the rough old boys used to use the handle of off a galvanised bucket.

how do you stop it going under the straight edge if it is round and you are pushing it into the sand and cement? thats the only thing i need to know really and i will just make one. any tips andy?

That's pretty straight forward Steve, I don't know how to do the links thing but the rounded bands above the porch canopy on my site are probably the most time consuming.

You just have to hold the tool at an angle so that it runs on the edge of the level, hope that helps Kirk.
