Cant understand that , Its creating work. Tape up,caulk out and seal a three bedder in 3 hours.

It would take me longer to do that then plaster hence we plaster it on the odd occasions we get a call to do it

Nowhere near you mate, but prob 50 notes for mats and a couple of ton labour for a one off like this. Used to get 90 pence a meter on big sites labour only back in the day.

wow where u based? ill have a bit of artex action at 2.50 a meter all in

Cheers Andy
so if I put £350 I wont be to far off. Got to tender for it along with load of other work just didnt want to shoot myself in the foot by putting in to low price Then Artexer turns up in an Aston Martin wanting Gold :RpS_thumbup:

I still do it. Recently did 2 hotels up in the highlands. All the ceilings were 30-40 metres. The hotelier couldn't find anybody to do it so he called me and told me about his desperate plight. I immediately realized that i had him by the b*ll***s....so i named my own price. Oh, and free board and gub :RpS_thumbsup:

Any more than that mate, show em the door. On site we worked out a normal three bedroomed house was worth 36 quid to texture after prep, but you would knock a house out for two oclock ish and then tape and seal another. Mind you I was a whipper snapper back then a couple of stone lighter with a neck like Tyson.

Actually I did the comb pattern course down in Yoevil and was taught by a guy called Kim Howchin who was red hot . The guy was also a pub owner in the town , he may still be around but I cant remember the boozer.

Sadly not , Mainly Redrow homes and I remember the biggest house they did was a five bedder called a Arlington and that was worth 108.00 and the lounge was the size of a football pitch. God, you were fcuked after knocking one of them out.

stipple.
broken leather.
combed.
i think the hardest pattern was flower in a basket, if you got pissed at dinner time ! ( yes you could drink down the ale-house and go back to work then) germany you could drink on site all day ,you could make -up yor own patters then lol
