@Bartholomew saved my life
Result. Feed in, feed out, one will always go in the common and the other in '1 way' as its just a basic switch. Get them the wrong way round and switch will be on when off etc. Swap around or turn switch upside down if you cant be arsed
@algeeman I've done something terrible.

I know, I said I'll just skim it, they said no you wont just tape it.
Eh? That is a standard 1 way switch, perm live in com and sl in 1 way and earthed at the back boxLooks like an intermediate switch not a normal one or two way switch
Not all are permenatly live, 1 is and the other is a switched live, which is only live when switched, hence the name.If you joined those 2 reds together then light will stay on. The switch is just a breaker so you can't go wrong. it's wired correct and earth connects to back box.
Dispite reds and browns. Blues and Blacks in switches they are all live wires. No neutrals. Simple live in as and live out and switch acts as a breaker.
Looks like you found a use for that Make Good shite.I know, I said I'll just skim it, they said no you wont just tape it.
