Evening all,
I am just wondering if anyone has some tips about plastering upto door liners that stick out 20mm. I build it out with bonding but I am quite often spending more time getting finish.
I find it hard to get the wall flush but perfeclty flat so the architrave sits flat.
Any help is greatly received.
Thanks

Can't see any problem, float it level off the frame, when it's ready for float, use yor trowel and tear back a 2mm thickness around the frame,

the builder has used the wrong size door linings. get him to take them out and plane them down.
on the new properties that we have plastered recently they put the door linings in after we have plastered. these have been dot and dab.

Did a job, couple years back, told the foreman that the frames were too far out on the boarded walls, he started a spiel, saying he has never ever had a plasterer complain about this before, I said if I need to bond it out its extra then told him he was an idiot, relationship ruined,,,
