Well I bought a new Collomix C40x drill a few weeks ago and have just started using it AHHHHHH!
Second day the little red button you have to hold in to start the damn thing jammed in and then third day the bloody thing doesn't stop every time you release the trigger. Took it back today expecting the shop to say sorry and here's another one but no they said it has to be sent back to Collomix >:( What is the score with things being faulty so soon after purchase?
Wish I'd just bought another from Refina (years without hitch)

Strrrrrangely enough my refina packed up this week ,the button you press in to keep it spinning when you take the finger off the trigger has jammed ,under a year old as well .

I thought my refina had packed up the other day and it turned out it was just the lead had come loose spunky had the same thing a couple of days before weird ;D

I thought it was a screw that Spunky had loose ;)

I've got the c60 and the same happened to me, just took the safety off, and chucked it. Right as rain now. The safety is a waste of time on the collormix cause they don't cut out........Apart from that had mine 6 years now and going strong, still hardly any wear on the brushes, strong machine though, loads of torque. If you take the safety off, just tape over the button hole, to stop the dust and shyte getting in.

Yeah I here what you're saying Del but if you get your lab to use it and he has any sort of accident and the machine isn't as it should be you could land in all sorts of bother, you just can't allow for how daft a lab could be can you.

i think you are can have a refund or replacement, your choice. once you accept the repair then you loose any right to a refund. well thats how i understand it anyway

;D ;D Yeah but the safety on all the collomix'es are the same.......When using, the safety has to be pressed in before you pull the trigger......... the lab gets his tracksuit bottoms caught in the whisk, as my son did, silly fecker, he then releases the trigger.....Should stop the machine......No because the safety jams the trigger on. The trigger is on a spring so it just winds down, with the safety jammed on, the lab is fecked :). Keep the machine, skip the safety ;)
Try it tomorrow, and see if the safety keeps the power on .

Our C60 packed in about a year ago, we couldn't get the correct spare part so sent it back to the factory, they fixed it, put a new PAT test badge on it and sent it back FOC.

I dont think theres a perfect mixer out there, they take a lot of hammer.every one ive ever had the safety goes after a year,i got a makita now jus over ayear and working ok,but im sure it wont be long now.im really happy with the makita best mixer ive had on 110v.

Got a call today to say my repaired drill will be ready to collect tomorrow, that's a whole week it's been away. How quick do Refina repair faulty goods, I'm sure someone said 48 hours but I could be wrong.

we sent ours away for a service and clean all inside and it was back within about 3 days, refina all the way in my opinion
