got 5 meters of drywall to do tomorrow, I have never used it before, I really need to skim after a couple of hours, will I be able to?

thanks inadvance for any help u can give me guys

Sand and cement render mixed with rapid will be skim able in a couple of hours.

Doing 2m2 myself today[emoji108]

New to the forum but I have to use this stuff every day as I deal with damping issues. Only way you will get it to go off is mix it 50:50 with bonding, because then it's basically bonding and cement. But it really does go off quickly as its not supposed to be mixed with any other gypsum, only problem is it could cause damp problem to reoccur. Ideally needs the be left overnight before skimming.

If your going to mix bonding in you may as well hardwall it.

The only way to skim the same day is render with rapid in. Take your chance with the cracking.

Why would you use a gypsum based product after treating damp?

If you use it every day then you would also know that it sets fairly quick in any case so need for a bonding mix, but what it would do is craze/crack the finish.
