Hey guys, Someone has recently asked me if its possible for me to Dot 'n' Dab two shipping containers for them.
I have no idea if the Drywall adhesives would bond to the steel that the shipping containers are made out of, so if any of you could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated!
If it is not possible could you enlighten me on a different way to plaster the two containers?

Thanks alot.

bond it and dab.
Wots it to be used for?
You could timber stud just cut the uprights real tight so they are wegded tight and firm.

Its to be used on allotments as a little store. Thanks guys for the information, I will have word with the guy and let him know putting a stud in might be best

stud it out and then board it id use moisture boards though, I would not recommend dabbing or bonding.

No the allotments are already there. This is just going to be used as a store next to them.

why on earth would anyone want to plasterboard an allotment shed? what is the point?
besides condensation being a huge problem...
you would need to stud it (preferably with metal stud), insulate it with cellotex, cover it with vapour barrier then board it and install some sort of ventilation...
or better still...
just leave it as it is.... give it a coat of paint if it needs to look pretty...
or maybe theyre gonna rent em out to some immigrants?
are we getting warmer? ::)

I have done one before for a large building company, had to build two mock bathrooms in one so they could get an idea etc ... metal I stud and board. skimmed it out the next day on one of the hottest days of the year ... it was like an oven inside

Richard I seem to have found that 2.5 stone you say you lost, I have looked after it well and if you PM me your address I would be more than happy to send it back to you although it could be nearer 3 stone by arrival. :o
