Dura finish tips

Hi ,Im a self employed plasterer and have a job of about 8k meters but using durafinish which I’ve never used before neither has any of my lads.

its not on traditional boards it’s this new thing from Germany which comes pre made and the boards are fixed to the wooden studs with massive staples, it’s a special duraline board but not like plasterboard.
Obviously I’m a bit nervous having such a big job using product never used and on a background never used.

so has anyone any tips for durafinsh??

all I’ve seen online is a few old threads on here and some videos on YouTube.

Never used it try @Vincey I'm sure he has
 
Interesting job mate , just try not to leave lines in first coat as when they start to firm up are hard to flatten out when secondcoat is on, I’d say stay chilled it’s same gear but light grey in colour and nice to trowel up , slightly better blend ratio than multi and board you’ll feel it , basically put first coat on nice and neat you’ll be fine , try not to use water when flattening and finishing, no sponge shite

Sponges want banning from all jobs there wank . Pointless imo

Yes theres a few lads do it on our site . By the time they've fuked about with a sponge I've flattened the c**t

over complicating it. If timings right.Throw on.Lay in same gear without flatten. 1 flat n Fill n 1 wet cross. 2hrs

There were putting 3 gages on just b4 xmas..was like 0 degrees outside was f**k**g freezing I said how the f**k are you managing to get 3 gages on in this weather as it takes 4 hrs to go off,there were finished 4 3 ish lol

I knocked up some board yesterday and you could just tell as soon as you took the whisk out it was going to be a pig. It looked gritty and greasy in the bucket, sure enough it went off like a rocket but when you trowelled it it wasn’t solid more fatty, pulled and tore. Managed to get a finish but it made my day harder than it should have been
