Easi fill

Patched a ceiling years ago that had had A load of spotlights in. Hadn’t got the skimming skills I have now, so was the best route at the time for me. Regardless of the finishing, patching the holes is still the same, but easi filled and sanded as that was all I could do, but was an invisible mend and didn’t take that long. Probably would just skim it out now though, unless just a couple to do.

Basically I'm doing a freebie for a mate of mine who's a sparky his house he bought had no earth cables upstairs so he's had to re-wire after I just finished plastering all his rooms downstairs he's cut out like 7-8 circle holes in his hall way he's screwed all the pieces of board back up but he's bought easifill 60 for me to patch them in is this suitable can you trowel easifill like multifinish I've never used the stuff before,
Easi fill is fine, some of these replies are off the planet. I have done this loads of times. I prefer toupret filler. I would take his boards out and re place with 9.5mm if he has 12.5mm in it. Then no scrim needed. Fill out twice, sand once dry.
And I paint after it, if done correctly no shrinkage or shadows.

2 visits though as it's never dry enough to sand until a few hours later. I use a 1 mm spacer under the baton to recess it slightly. Can get away with only filling it once then. Leave your mate some sandpaper and jobs a gooden

Yip does similar job, I prefer the deeper fill, agree you have to wait to sand though full re skimming ceiling is mental.

Some people don’t have the patience. The ones I’ve done have been in renters, and I’ve always been giving the whole house a makeover so no rushing to get them done.
