The risk's ,there is a lot of money invested in doing this to the outside of a house, if for anyone of lots of reasons the job fails , how do you really stand for a BIG CLAIM in court against you as the plasterer ? as i have noticed the suppliers have covered themselves legally very well and seem to have shifted any blame over to workmanship ie-US ?

I know some set up a LTD company for individual projects ,i don,t know how or if it works ,but if all goes tits least you keep you house ,but what a way to have to think

i 'am not a fan of british civil -law it stinks its all for the rich and full of bailiffs and house re-possession's,you get worse treatment if you are on the wrong end of it than criminal system IMO ,it needs changing

I know mate ,more accountants fees ! not worth it for little old me
this type of work is not suited to small gangs. the contractors that do this work are british kite mark members that can offer a guarantee of several years, perhaps through an insurance scheme.
when ever we have taken on thin coat render as a sub contractor from the manufacture there has been an oversee from the co.. on site at all times to make sure that the material is fitted as per spec . the money is always very tight and there are short cuts but can be expensive to correct

Some great point's there maic, there is a company doing EWI into swimming pools shells instead of just render/tile it's styrofoam, ronacrete+ mesh, then mosaic tile, this they say insulates the pool, but i think they have had a few problems................i suppose you could call it INTERNAL POOL INSULATION SYSTEM OR IPIS lol........
