I've never done any exterior work like that - what kind of stone was it? Bath stone?

I'm curious - how do you ensure a reliable longterm bond between the existing and new material?

I regularly see Edwardian houses with stonework in need of repair, around their bay windows, and it's quite common to see existing repairs falling away.

The joints are to try and replicate the original

Hi I thought it was stone when I priced it from the ground but when the scaffold was up and i got a closer look it turned out to be some sort of fired brick/corbel
