Hi all......
I want to get a Renderer to Render the outside of our Bungalow and I want to get some advise off you guys who do this for a living so I have a good idea
of how the Render should be applied..... the bungalow was built in 1975 using LBC Face Bricks Golden Buff ..... it has a 60mm cavity... the beds and perps have receded a bit to leave a lip between the bricks so probably wont need raking out.....the Face Bricks dont show any sign of descabing...... I want to use ready mixed bagged Tarmac One Coat Render as in my opinion the mix will be consistant..... Now I know it says One Coat Render but I want it done in Two Coats as traditional Rendering.... So if you guys were asked to apply this Render this way... How would you apply this method from start to finish...... please include any liquid preperation using say SBR or any other additive I may not have heard of..... I will be painting the finish with Weathershield ......
Many thanks in advance for your advice.....

To be honest, if you get a decent renderer you trust, get them to do it their way - with materials they prefer.

It sounds like your trying to get a plasterer - possibly cheap quote and then ask/tell them how to do it.

Anyway enough info here for you - he'd be right up your street.....

That G** plant pot has spent more time with a camera in his hand than a trowel.

OK....... I suppose I was naive in thinking you so called profesionals would offer up any of your methods that I was looking for....

1.... Do you not think I would have looked on youtube.
2.... Obviously I dont have any Renderers I trust as I havent had any done before.....
3.... I am the Customer so I decide after " ADVICE " which products I prefer....
4.... Take the time to read my post "RENDERER " and delay in trying to ridicule my questions....
5.... Perhaps it would have been easier just to offer advice rather than make up your own assumptions...
6.... Clearly advice is no longer avalible.

Be Lucky out there.
