fassacouche - floated then sponged?

Anyone every floated & sponge fassacouche? Rather than scratched back?

Customer wants it floated then sponged in a naples colour.
Ive never floated & sponged it, just wondering if anyone ever has? & was it just like your kc1’s etc

I have got it spatted back smooth and I think it will rub up ok being limey.

I always wondered this. Surely the colour would end up patchy but it shows sponged on their brochures.

Probably will be darker on the bottom. I have rubbed K Rend dash receiver ok.
