if you want the crisp original features to mould from simply soak in water for a short while you will find original paint surface to be very chalky, something like distemper, if you need to match to suit age just take mould off with a cold pour , if you use hot it will bubble ,cheers rugbymad

Soak in boiling soapy water. Soak for 20 minutes.
Remove.

Peel paint off.

Repeat.
I believe we have a mould for that. I'm pretty sure anyway.

Not funny :(

I thought he was trying to remove the paint at first but then he dealt a massive hammer blow to the fibrous masterpiece :RpS_crying:

All that work from years ago demolished in seconds :-(

Some people have no respect for fibrous mate :RpS_unsure:

It was a legitimate investigation. The results of which are clear, there were no fibres in the plaster. Evidence therefore, that there is no such thing as fibrous plastering.

Which leads to the unfortunate conclusion that anyone claiming to provide fibrous plastering services is a con man trying to defraud the innocent public and trusting builders into paying extra for 'snake oil'. :RpS_angry:

What's next? 'Special' plaster made from ground up Rhodesian rhino horn mixed with unicorn tears? Scrim tape plaited from sasquatch pubes?

ha the corbel you "investigated" was probably original to the building and back then they were not done with hessian. Just cast solid, they could do this because REAL plasterers could plaster a flat wall :p

now days corbels are cast hollow, with hessian to reinforce to allow for any defects in the wall. Less surface area of the corbel touching the dodgy plastering :p

Hmm, I knew one of you lot would try and justify it. I'm not being taken in, I've got my eye on you :RpS_sneaky:
