Filling chases before plastering

Hi,

I've got to put a few wall chases in for the sockets I'm installing for a family member, they want me to fill the chases for them before they get room replastered in the next couple of months.

What would be the best thing for me to fill the chases with? gyproc bonding coat? I was just want to use the right thing so the plasterer can skim straight over

All information greatly appreciated

Thanks

Leave it to the plasterer, if you use the wrong gear and it's rough as f**k your gonna cause a lot more problems and it could cost, it Deffo won't save you anything.

Thanks for the quick reply, I agree with you and I normally would leave it to the pros but he really wants it filling once i've done the chases unfortunately

This is the problem, people will just say bonding without asking the type of house, this is the problems I mentioned, tell the customer it's not your job or tell them to do it themselves .

It's a couple of chases, I'm sure bonding will be fine

There you go again, your on Facebook saying you want to buy roses for the wife but wanting cheapest ones you can get yet you keep promoting expensive plastering materials. I'd rather buy the expensive roses and the cheaper plaster.
He only paid £2.50 for the flowers, hence he can afford the bonding 60 lol

Lighten up Flynny ffs

Probably was a multi turder anyway :risas:
I still wouldn't give bad advise just Coz I was getting payed for it ;) you still haven't learnt your lesson from the uni, don't f**k this one up I've heard its your last chance :)

Where do you hear these rumours? As I heard they gonna monopolize magnetic, will only be available for certified guys.

I never ask customers to prep or let them to do it if they offer. Been burnt a few times.

What about that demo bag damp stuff Gordon got , never heard him report back about it , might be the answer we all can agree on ...

GORDON ?

For the first 15mins I hated it but then got use to it, it's total different to dri coat, and doesn't go anywhere near as far either, but nice stuff to use though.

Flynny wouldn't buy roses for anyone as he hasn't a heart just a old rock on a abit of rope in there

I went to a job last year where the householder had filled all the chases with expanding foam and then cut it back. Where the wall had fallen off in bigger patches and he couldn't get it with the foam he'd stuck on little pieces of plasterboard with no more nails . One of the bedroom doors had been punched a few times as well. It had big holes in it where someone had put their fist or a hammer through. Crazy.
