Filling chases before plastering

Just fill the chases up with badly fixed plastic capping and leave all the cable hanging out of the box about two foot like sparks usually do.

Where do you hear these rumours? As I heard they gonna monopolize magnetic, will only be available for certified guys.

I went to a job last year where the householder had filled all the chases with expanding foam and then cut it back. Where the wall had fallen off in bigger patches and he couldn't get it with the foam he'd stuck on little pieces of plasterboard with no more nails . One of the bedroom doors had been punched a few times as well. It had big holes in it where someone had put their fist or a hammer through. Crazy.
