the barton trowels handle is less comortable which says alot as the refina one is no great thing, but i find the trowel actually gives it that final finish alot better than a refina, the blade on the barton is softer than the refina so it nicks easier BUT being softer a bit of wet and dry brings any nicks out in seconds, i find the refina one takes alot longer to take a nick out.
the barton is perfect for winders as it is quite flexible which i understand isnt perfect for doin a flat wall or ceilin but if you just use the barton for the final trowel and cross trowel then your nomal stainless trowels would have got the wall flat and the barton will follow the flat surface.
all in all i prefer the finish the barton leaves and at 15 quid a pop i cnt argue with it ive had mine well over a year now and its worn in lovley with no dinks or nicks that i couldnt get out in under a minute
