Been asked to skim a fireplace onto cement board . Customer wants heat resistant skim . You guys know where I can get some and what brand ? Thanks boys and girls

Vitcas, it’s horrendous to use. No need to skim the boards though if they’re flat and in full pieces.

Heat resistent skim lol. Carlite bonding good whith heat and you can get a good finish on it

No real need, done hundreds just skim with board

Will it need a coat of pva . There is also one joint

Primer best for cement board.

I didn’t use it on board the customer wanted it floated out with Vitcas too and that is like pushing light agg up the wall

No use a good quality tile primer.
