Fireboard sealing

Afternoon All,
I'm going to pva 2 coats the fireboard then skim with mf in this picture unless you guys know of a better sealant on the market.
Open for suggestions (clean ones please)

Looks tight, always stick to manufacturers spec. Some can go down to 50mm some want 150

Hi,yes the gap is tight I'll contact the customer to find out who fitted the stove and board and ask for manufacturer's details.
Not going to risk putting mf on and get a call back.
