Nothing massively stands out there to me, you don’t want loads of straight lines in it and I don’t think there is to many on this wall at all, I’ll admit I’ve made a few mistakes on it but nothing much IMO, biggest wall I’ve done to date on it and overall very happy wit it.

Okay let's put it another way. Did your metreage rate cover materials and four full days money.
Not quite no, not far off and since it’s only half days or less each day I skimmed a couple bathroom ceilings in that 4 day period so was still home earlier than normal and with those extra ceilings taken into account I was better off than just doing 4 days plastering

Hi Jess,
Personally I think the lads done a nice job.I prefer less trowel movement on venetian but thats my personal preference.Over time you get to know what materials are for what and know your limits with each product but thats just with experience.
Fair play to gobey and theres definitely more of a call for it now.

looks ok after a few more jobs then the pattern will not look as you went the same way

Jumping on this thread but has anyone used any “tadelakt plaster” seems similar to the Venetian. Thinking of having a go at home in ensuite as looking for other options than tiles, wall panels, for no grout lines. Watched abit of a video and seems easy enough, used plenty of lime products, so familiar with building up coats, using little water etc it’s more the finishing and knowing it’s going to be 100% waterproof??
