Flinnyman vs the skimming machine

You could put a few pillars and windows in a long wall that would be similar to a few rooms, and a ceiling angle.
Maybe a pre match picture of each teams equipment

You could even have a gladiator style weapon chosing time where you select the sponsors equipment you feel will work best

Both teams 2+1 gangs plaster bought from same place with same date and batch as each pallet of the s**t has its own story to tell inconsistant crap..2.7 high walls all beaded and taped 100-150m area or four rooms 2 for each team mirror image with celings and window walls. whistle blows both gangs start knocking up at the same time just use the pump to convey the tradional gang would throw there tools in the skip and walk out on the way out grab hold of the MD of BG smack him in the mouth and chuck the c**t in the back of the van and take him for test drive

Brilliant thread ... This is definitely what plaster world needs go flynnybob go..
I'd donate £50 money in just to see it happen..

Gosh I hope that machine wins

My money is on the flyn ...
Go on flyn show that fuucking terminator.
Non of yer bullshiiit after when flyn wins....'il be back'.
Because you wont.

If we can use mp finish I'll take my machine over and race u. I wouldn't put multi in to the machine as I no it would clog the machine and I'd look like a right dick

Be better if they all start of in a van that's more real life, flynnyman has the speed on foot but hearing the stats saying the m200 can spray Longer distances and outperform any machine in its weight class it's going to be interesting

So is it the m200 I will be up against? You have mentioned that more than once :) if we start off in the van I will have an advantage I recon so only fair we both get set up :) I will have the whisk set up in the bucket and they will have the bag ready to crack open on to the machine unless it's one of them machines you have to mix first then pour in.

I'll bring egg's,flour, cabbages and tomato's and potatoes as well for on lookers to throw at Flynnyman like on total wipe out..

Recon I would sell a van full of vegetation

Waiting for confirmation from Ryan on the machine but would of thought so,just eager to see it going to take money with me to put down as a deposite if it wins

Flynn will win... and this whole argument is flawed.
Its all based on the speed of application of a material that isn't designed for machine use.

There are plasters for machines and plasters for hand application.
There is no comparison between the two.

As a SYSTEM the machine cannot be beat. A one coat application with a plaster designed to spray HAS to beat a hand applied two coat system. How can it not?

This particular contest is geared towards the handballer.

Got some chicks sorted for the showcase announcements
Flinnyman vs the skimming machine

If this happens it would be with the M100 - a machine which was designed for plastering. How something like this is organised is a tricky one and will take some planning.

Agreed with a few points that various people have made. Mainly a sensible one from @CeeVee - as a system it won't be beaten.

But the point of this is the speed of application, no matter the material the output will be the same. Whether Multi is the best for this or not is t the question. We always state and say that the machine applied plasters are far better and are more suited to this.
But, due to availability many guys still choose to use Multi.

Therefore it can be done and guys do it for a reason.

As I have said hundreds of times, everyone can be the Hero and lash the material on at 100mph - the machine can do the same, the difference being it can do it all day everyday! It's simply impossible for a human to be able to do this.

The process or 'system' between hand and machine application is very different. 90% of spreads two coat, with the machine there is no need as you get the required thickness of material on in one pass

Also, tools used when machine plastering are products such as the Speedskim etc - large spats etc designed to cover large surface areas making a fast process!

There is no doubt that a man can start getting gear on the wall quicker to start with as it takes time to set a machine up.

But, once you crack a bag in a machine it will mix it and spray the whole bag in around 2-3 minutes - Yes, mix and spray the whole thing in less than 3 minutes!

You might know about machines but you know absolutely nothing about plasters and how they work. You said it can spray multi and you said it's faster so let's get it on save all the bullshit about it will do it for ever coz I've been doing it 28 years I guarantee your machine won't last that long :)

To be fair Flynny, if your going to speak to me do it in a professional manner. Why do I know nothing about plasters? It's my job to know about all materials etc..

I said it can spray it and I said the process is faster. I haven't gone back on that at all.

The whole point being " Is it worth it "

This isnt to judge plastering machines its about whether a better system for applying skimming exists.

As many have said - it's worth it on the right job. You need to have the jobs to warrant doing it.

Nothing will beat the traditional hand balling on domestic jobs. But the large commercial contracts etc Machine will be superior

I think on full house refurbs too.

Fair enough
Thats how it should be set up then. Big walls etc.

Stop being such a Princess this is pre match banter. Try giving back as good as you get instead of complaining about his behaviour. Call him a short arse has been or something. Make it fun

Your on a forum you wouldn't last two minutes on a site in the real world if your bothered how I speak. f**k your professional manner bullshit and don't talk to me as if I'm not professional and you are. You know f**k all about plaster and how it works and sets I can't be arsed pulling your posts to bits, maybe you should speak to me with a little bit more respect coz I know a hell of a lot more than you about plaster.

We do 2 passes when we spray. spray area 1 way then the other way crosshatch its not always perferct boarding or square edge boards again no video on youtube can show this i suppose or a demo in a booth but when on site in a real sittuation when the pressure is on you have to adapt and get it on and down but each to there own every one has ways of doing things if the material is mixed to thick and spray applied the ribbons dry in on the boards and when you flatten with the eze spat with finest blade it follows them and feels like a roller shutter door when finished so mix needs to be like piss on decent sized areas thats just our way

Exactly he does not understand banter or humour and comes out with the same legal jargon again, like I've said let's not make it personal I've gave you a challenge and you accepted so let's get it on :)

That's what I got on my practise with the machine. Thought it was piss wet and the ribbons still dried!

Do you not find cross hatching causes air pockets? This is the feedback we get, the guys just prefer the one pass spray
