Float a wall then paint

I currently have a internal wall that is back to breeze brick, which I am considering. Floating and skimming rather than using plasterboard.

If I do float the wall and skim, how long will it take to dry out properly, to a position where I can apply emulsion paint ( Dulux kitchen emulsion paint).

British Standards sounds a bit like British Bullshit on that one.
I think the white book says something similar. In the days of internal sand and cement floating, new houses were always left empty a couple of months before letting the decoraters at them.

U are looking at about 6 to 8 weeks. But I cant see any problems doing it after 4 weeks

I seen a plastering crew here float an outside house and garage and painters where in day after plasterer's finished. Have also seen paint going on skimmed wall as soon as it had its dried out look after a week
