Told client to order boards of foil back boards because one side is damp proof which is the foil side. Turns out he ordered sheets of moisture resistant plasterboard!! I've only ever plastered a few of these but the builder always suggested I throw a thin coat of bonding on first. Now I'm wondering should I Zend these all back or are they OK to skim straight onto without the need for bonding?

Looks like their going back then because I'm not confident enough to just skim on them. One, I don't want the skim to come off and two, don't want to be standing hours waiting on it turning.

Skim will go off regardless. It's the bonding coat which will hang for hours. But fair play to stick to your guns.

Yes but sometimes skim can hang to. I've had this before. This is a cold damp cottage and could see it hanging if these boards are waterproof. I'm scratching my head wondering what in the name of good fcuk to do. Will I send them back or throw on because one said above its ok

Most hotels in the uk new build have moisture boards in shower areas.
Roll unibond on it.
