How dare you graft on God’s holy day!! You will be struck down.I’ve not had a day off yet, in tomorrow too
You can claim the 80% even if you have the best 3 months you've ever had. Which is really bizzare. Some self employed people's earning will have gone up dramatically because of this eg YouTubers. But they can then still claim the grantI’ve got boat loads of work to do, no chance of me claiming that 80%
Trying to meet demand mateHow dare you graft on God’s holy day!! You will be struck down.

Probably because it would be far to difficult for them to deduct how much people have earnt in that 3 months away from the grant they're entitled to. Realistically they don't have the time or resources to do thatReally? But I don’t need to so why?

the 80% loanWhat does
Thats a rabbit hole I’m not interested in going down any time soon sir. That's a fair point.
I don't yet know if the powers that be are actually allowing people to claim even if they're working. That may or may not turn out to be true.
In the event that it does turn out to be true, I would be asking myself who stands to gain from allowing it (regardless of whether the claims are for a handout or for a loan). Like many other countrues, 'we' (the populace and it's so-called 'elected' officials) do not own the right to produce the money we use - that 'right' (cringe) is currently owned by private individuals, who charge interest on every pound, dollar, etc. they issue. Every time a person borrows money, they are charged interest, but few people pause to consider that the same is true for the communal public purse: everytime the country borrows money to finance shortfalls in funding, in order to cover social care or national emergencies, it is wealthy elite bankers who profit (one reason why warmongering is one of their favourite agendas), and the country that suffers, as it gets ever-deeper into debt.
Viewed in this light, wouldn't these very same bankers, who control the money supply, benefit from a national (and global) emergency that cripples the economy for companies and for individuals?
If the country is forced to borrow money to prop-up schemes to financially support the economically-crippled populace, then wouldn't the elites profit hugely from all that national borrowing? And if they stand to profit hugely from it, wouldn't they be eager to make it as easy as possible for people to claim, no matter how dubious the legitimacy of their claims?
Not saying that's what is actually happening, but it's certainly food for thought.
You mean the money they give you goes down as earnings on this tax year? So the money they give you surely isn’t taxed at source then?the 80% loan
I'm used to it palThat’s benefit fraud in my book
YesYou mean the money they give you goes down as earnings on this tax year? So the money they give you surely isn’t taxed at source then?
Yes you'll be paying tax on the 80% if you claim. So in effect they're paying us around 64% of our usual monthly take home. And even then after all the expenses come off your books every year like van repairs, insurance etc. Someone who earns 3k a month labour on average, will probably end up with around 1k a month and a tax hikeYou mean the money they give you goes down as earnings on this tax year?
