you soft sh1te rich just get it on :RpS_biggrin:

the "P" product will outlast anything on the wall in time. I agree its a difficult to use base at first due to the massive polymer content but when you get the jist of it - its a dream.
notch it all out first and lay your mesh gently, then skim another mm over later in the day,

unbranded fixings are shishen tho.

Apparently there's a national shortage of hanmmer in fixings ...used the spit orange 10 mm fixings today. Out the box ye but using, ok but quite brittle compared to the 8mm Fischer green fixings am used to. Plus the dot& dab method parex spec is crap compared with the perimeter & spot. For the cost of maite I'd go so far as to say its no better at fixing slabs than other makes at much less cost. Besides if it's a painted substrate then you got to use the fixings which makes a highly polymer modified slab adhesive completely unnecessary. Parex need to bring out a maite lite or something.....tis a week component in their simplistic but costly spec IMHO

sprayed 300m2 today using the 1.0mm grain, I sprayed it heavy and in two passes and if I say so myself I did a superb job. It came out like a very mild terolean finish and looks fantastic with not a blemish in the 300m2 sprayed.

I know its not what the 1.0mm finish should look like but the owners of the building love it!.

yes mate it is a fantastic bit of kit that swing. I sprayed the lot on my jack jones with just a labourer pouring the pots in.

can you imagine how many men it would take to leave a blemish free finish on a panel that is 10m high 35m long and divided with a million windows?.

with the windows deducted it was all but 300m2.

the way the windows were set you would have to have about 10 men i guess to keep the wet edges going if you were hand applying.

2 jobs like that and thats the machine paid for!

we did a job of around 325M last week the texturing was two long days with three of us, I mean like we worked until 7 one night and 8 the following night. that swing could have saved me. Is the finish on bucket coat the same as if done with a ritmo do you recon ? Same gun aint it?

The parex dries faster than silicone gear I find so loading up.....at least you've got a chance in the British weather. The ritmo m does a wicked roughcast finish using the 1mm dpr with onboard compressor....the l will do the same. Have a fiddle with the lumpy textures too if you haven't already. Like you say regardless of heavyness of texture it's the seamless uniformity that can't be replicated by hand that's so goddamn sexy

fasten your pants for just a min butt i want ask a question first.

"roughcast" you say with a 1mm DPR ? is that because the onboard comp has less pressure and the material does not atomise as much as when you use the big comp

Yes the dpr does a mild roughcast with the onboard ritmo m comp. it's not tyrolean, more than that but not as heavy as the mono roughcasts obviously. It's not ideal from a cost point of view as its expensive gear as like you say the comp doesn't atomise the gear enough resulting in a heavier blob. It's a he'll of a way to get rid of unwanted tubs of random colours tho. Use them and one or two tubs of paint in your choice. Looks even more traditional painted. Funnily enough the larger the grain the less air you need. Had to use some 1.5 and 2.5 mm gear to finish off my house as ran out of 1mm. Gotta turn the air down at the swing gun to match the 1mm at full air. Goes against logic but hey ho. Found that 2 passes worked best with a lumpy first pass then turn air up to go over it in a finer coat. The whole thing together especially with paint is perhaps my fav to date

Painted garage which was done in a mucky yellow colour alsecco 1.5mm but same texture as house(white). Used parex marble white 310 blended with alsecco white primer(all dregs of stuff left over). Looks mint and arguably better than just the dpr on its own. Flat finishes are out :)

Thinking the our ritmo is being wasted using it internally.

I looked at a job yesterday that is tyrolean at the moment but has had ivy grow up one side and pulled large sections of the tyrolean off. The rest is sound as is the render under it. Am i right in think a SM700 base coat with mesh and then topped with a textured acrilic finish is the way to go?
