Garden wall render. help!!

Hi, I am looking for some advice, the pebbledash render on my garden wall has burst and had damp Staines in other places so the rest of it should come of pretty easily.

This wall was here when I bought the house. The other side is raised soil, it is not an option for me to dig it out.

What can I replace the render with that will allow the wall to breathe and let water from the other side either come through or option 2, block it out and I could drill holes along the bottom. I am not bothered about the pebbledash look, I'm not keen on it anyway.

Finally, how urgent is repairing this? Can I do it myself or is a professional required? (It doesnt need to be perfect)

No dpc, tanking behind and inadequate copings. At a chance you might have some look with a polymer modified render but those copings need improving.

Meant luck not look, grammar police and all that.
 
The dash has stayed on for probably 20 years or so and probably all will quite easily peel off looking at it , but as rigsby says you could try some modern pre bagged with a drip bead off the ground to give it a good chance and maybe another 20 years
 
Wider copings and XPS insulation...or there are some waterproof renders available...speak to Parex rep.
 
could do with starting again with a 3 in 1 ad-mix in a decent scratch coat as i cant see one in the pics then plain faced top coat forget the dash
 
bad scratch coat and insufficient overhang. The fact you’re asking if you can do It yourself and stating it doesn’t have to be perfect tells me you’ll be wasting some renderers time soon requiring a free quotation which will invariably be too expensive.
