Getting worried about a contractors work

Hi I'm looking for some advice I'm currently having the house rendered and I'm getting concerned as the beads he's put on with the base coat have come away in a few places and some cracking there seems to be voids underneath them .also hasn't based in the doorway .is this normal ? Thanks for any info .no mesh in base coat also

He worked for someone else for a lot of year and been on his own for for over a year .

I can get my fingers behind the stop beads at the bottom.should mesh be in the base coat as he tells me it will be in first pass of render .he's using k rend .

Unfortunately he's already had nearly £2000.does this have to be knocked off or can it be saved somehow.thanks for input.

Yup ,as others have said ,get him off the job .
West yorks ,chances he is using direct building products as supplier -they will have some decent renderers to recommend.

Probably hack

Definitely hack the beads off, depends on how much prep was done before applying what your looking at.

I certainly wouldn't entertain going over anything this clown has done. Chop off and start again would be my recommendation.

So take the basecoate off as well as the beads .or just beads and do another base coate? Thanks again for the input

There's no way I'd trust his basecoat, everything needs to go.

That is rough as f**k...personally I'd hack off and start again.

Was this the cheapest quote you had? Were there no red flags at quoting stage.

Can definitely sense a 'pay less pay twice' here.

No he was on price with another quote .but went with him because I've known him 40 years went to look at his other jobs around me .
