Going to price a job

On Saturday.

Git a call yesterday from a fella about a '5 bedrooms house that needs plastering'

From what the fella said they have put insulated boards on externals, some new ceilings& studs and some re skim.
Now I'm going on Saturday and I don't think I have a hope of getting the job.
Only reason is because during the phone call he said they were doing it in 4 stages and then started telling me how long each stage would take & how long in total!!
I mean if he knows all this why isn't he doing it himself??!!
It's put me right off to be honest.
Anyone else have these things that annoy the tits off them from customers?
Will update when I've seen the job & him!

I'd go give him 15 minutes of your time, check it out give him labour price.done.some times u could think it's a waste and low and behold he might want you to do it just when you need it or it was a waste of 15 minutes.i feel like that with most quotes to honest they get 15 minutes of my time and that's it.
I stopped pricing all the gear until they say yes to the labour.
 
had someone tell me today that a friend has had a look at there website bla bla bla... I was like get them to build it then if they are the expert...

Well u have done well with the forum etc , cant say ur a novice ..... Well not for website stuff ;-) haha ee danny a love the little digs to u ;) u no am messin haha
 
I'm guessing he maybe is using knowledge gained from others who have viewed the job already and he has sponged the advice they have given, you decide whether you will be another on the list or not bother with it!

Once went to a quote...he said I was the 8th lol.
 
Drove 50 minutes to meet the fella in the vicinity for 10am as arranged.
Rang him at 10 and he said he is a little delayed will be 15 or 20 mins, it's 10-32 and he's still not here.
I've to be home at 12 to go to a christening so time is plugging on, feel like just fecking off

Wat happened Big k? I had sum1 ring me last week saying he's had his 3 bedrooms insulated plasterboarded so just needed skimming I said I'd bob round he said il send you measurements just quote over a txt..in other words I'm doing the budgeting for him wen he does actually want it doing the cheeky t**t. Just txt back £80 a wall regardless size

Well as I said I was pissed off waiting, had a think on Sunday, rang him yesterday and as I didn't need the job decided to give him a whack of the greedy stick.
Rang me back an hour later and said that's fine just do your best to get to me ASAP.
I said grand see you soon [emoji12][emoji12][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Had a women ring today could I skim her kitchen before the marble worktop a were fitted lol told her her fitter has f**k*d her over and said goodbye :)
